Svetlana Kuznetsova hacked off some portion of her own hair at a changeover as she beat shielding champion Agnieszka Radwanska.
The 31-year-old Russian, who fit the bill for the occasion in front of Britain’s Johanna Konta, cut her pig tail with scissors toward the begin of the third set.
“It was disturbing me a great deal. When I was hitting the forehands I hit a decent shot and it would hit my eye,” she said.
“I believed, ‘likewise essential? My hair, which can develop, or the match?'”
Kuznetsova requested that the umpire supply her with a couple of scissors to do her extemporaneous hair style.
Radwanska said she was uninformed of the occurrence, yet concurred with her adversary’s needs.
“I didn’t realize that, it’s fortunate she didn’t cut her whatever else. I think hair is not essential.”
