The opening of the offers for the IPL communicate rights is set to be deferred after the Lodha Committee advised BCCI president Anurag Thakur to present a letter expressing that the board will “wholeheartedly go along” with the Supreme Court request of October 21. The Committee, on Monday, said the letter would be vital before it issues orders to the BCCI to take the delicate procedure forward.
The offers for TV, computerized and media rights were set to be opened and concluded on Tuesday in Mumbai. A senior BCCI official affirmed receipt of the Committee’s email yet was wary about whether the board would put off the offering procedure.
A week ago, the Supreme Court passed a request that restricted the money related flexibility of the BCCI until the board and its state affiliations consent to the Lodha Committee’s suggestions. One of the orders in the request was that the Lodha Committee would set an “edge esteem” for different contracts the BCCI goes into, and all agreements in overabundance of that sum would require the Committee’s endorsement. The Committee was likewise requested that delegate an autonomous examiner to manage contracts from the delicate stage.
